Your information
Privacy notice
Effective 23 August 2026
This notice explains what Learning Monitor stores when you create an account, learn, or request a private session.
Information we store
We store your email address, display name, password hash, profile settings, course progress, booking details, messages related to sessions, notifications, and security/audit records. We never store your plain-text password.
How it is used
We use this information to authenticate you, preserve learning progress, operate reservations, give teachers the information needed for a requested session, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.
Storage and cookies
Account and product data are stored in our self-hosted PostgreSQL database. Sign-in uses one necessary, secure, HTTP-only session cookie. Session tokens are stored in hashed form on the server.
Payments and sharing
When you choose payment, you leave Learning Monitor for the official BluPay page. BluPay processes the payment under its own terms. Booking information is visible only to the learner, assigned teacher, and authorized administrators, except when disclosure is legally required.
Retention
Active account data is retained while your account exists. Closing your account removes its profile, progress, sessions, and reservations from the live database. Compressed operational backups are retained for up to 14 days before automatic deletion; limited security audit records may remain where necessary for integrity and abuse prevention.
Your choices
You can update your profile, change your password, control notification preferences, and close your account from the account page. Closing an account is permanent.
Security
We use password hashing, revocable sessions, role-based access, rate limiting, encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted database permissions, backups, and audit logging. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
